Introduction to Ultrasound Basics

This introductory course is designed to educate you in the basic principles of ultrasound imaging. By the end of this course, you will be able to: relay an understanding of sound waves and how they behave in tissue; demonstrate the basic operation of an ultrasound machine; describe different ultrasound artifacts; utilize ultrasound terminology appropriately; and describe image orientation based on image acquisition.
